Prosperity Lamps and Components Limited has a long committed involvement in Hong Kong's lighting industry. Nearly close to three decades of full support from suppliers, customers and employees, the group has become one of the leading and professional suppliers of quality lamps, lighting fixtures and lamp components for the lighting industry.

China's rapid economic growth since the eighties called for foreign capital and technology to boost its illumination industry. In 1989, Prosperity was among the first to reach an agreement with Foshan Lighting and Electrical Co., Ltd to form a joint-venture factory - QL Lamps and Components Limited. This factory manufactures high quality lamps under the brand KANDOlite which has so far gained good reputation in the world lighting markets.

In 1994, Prosperity Lamps and Components Limited, Osram GmbH (subsidiary of Siemens) and Foshan Lighting and Electrical Company Limited together formed a joint-venture in China to manufacture fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, HID lamps and automotive lamps for both the local and export markets.

In 1995, Prosperity and Osram set up a joint-venture in Hong Kong - Osram Prosperity Limited to market lighting products made by Osram and Prosperity in Hong Kong and Macau.

To strengthen its position in China, in 1997 Prosperity established a wholly-owned factory in Langfang - Prosperity Electric(China) Company, Limited. to manufacture lamps and lighting fixtures.

Prosperity (Hangzhou) Lighting Electrical Company Limited was established in 2002 after acquisition of the Hangzhou Lamp factory. Hangzhou Prosperity together with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Lighting Company Limited, manufactures metal halide lamps, high pressure sodium lamps, fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps.

In 2004 Prosperity set up a joint-venture company with Siteco GmbH (the former Siemens Lighting System Division) at Langfang to manufacture and market Siteco brand lighting fixtures for the local and export markets.

The following year in 2005, Prosperity set up another office Siteco Prosperity Lighting (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong to cater lighting project and market Siteco products in Hong Kong and Macau.

After acquiring the share from the Foshan SASAC in 2006, Prosperity becomes the largest share holder of Foshan Lighting.

To penetrate the market in China further, Prosperity has set up sales offices in major cities of China, namely , Beijing , Chengdu, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Shanghai, Xian, Zhengzhou and Zhongshan. More offices are expected to be established in line with market requirements.
